Alexcia Wattie is a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Services Administration from the University of Baltimore and her Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, where she specialized in Clinical Behavioral Health. Her educational background, combined with her clinical training, has equipped her with a strong foundation in addressing complex mental health needs across diverse populations.

Alexcia has extensive experience working with minority, underserved, and historically marginalized communities throughout Maryland. She currently serves as a Program Manager and Linkage to Care Specialist, where she plays a critical role in bridging gaps between community-based services and primary and specialty healthcare systems. As a Certified Healthcare Worker and HIV/STI tester and counselor, Alexcia is deeply committed to improving access to care, reducing health disparities, and advocating for equitable treatment. She is passionate about challenging systemic barriers and outdated practices that continue to impact vulnerable populations.

While Alexcia values her leadership and community-based work, she finds her greatest fulfillment in providing direct clinical services. As a therapist, she is dedicated to creating a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. She believes that each individual deserves a personalized therapeutic experience and works closely with clients to foster healing, self-awareness, and meaningful growth.

Alexcia utilizes an integrative, evidence-based approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. She focuses on helping clients identify their strengths, set realistic and meaningful goals, and develop practical strategies to navigate life’s challenges. Through this process, Alexcia supports clients in building resilience, increasing confidence, and working toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
